A Harbour goes to War from the South Machars Historical Society

This is the story of the Mulbury Harbours and the people who built and assembled them in France. A few years ago I was lucky to have anchored within the Mulbury breakwater at the Arromanches and our branch has been diving the Mulburies off the english south coast for a number of years. This book gives the detail of the scale of the undertaking and organisation behind the massive operation. Its given me a new insight to the 2nd Mulbury at Bognor and some ideas of the background to what now is a very enjoyable dive.

Marine Animals of the South West
by Paul Naylor, Sound Diving Publications

Being a big fish spotting fan I found this book great. It's clear and has a fantastic colour photograph of each species that the book covers, hence making identification easy. Paul Naylor also includes information about the sub groups that each species come from, and even scientific information, which is written in laymans terms – making my understanding that much better. An excellent book that shows you what a vast array of life there is to be seen off our british coasts.
